Mr. Clay is the Executive Director of the Healthy Building Institute of America and is focused on science, technology and business all working together to address new environmental health issues.
Thomas Clay was founder and CEO of the the National Indoor Air Quality Institute until its merger with the Environmental Education Foundation in early 2005.
Mr. Clay is passionate about environmental health issues as he and his family have been affected by a sick home with hidden mold problems.

Mr. Clay states, "Through our research and field studies over the last 7 years there is growing evidence that unhealthy molds, bacteria and chemicals are accumulating in our homes like never before and negatively affecting our health and wellness".
Mr. Clay is an adviser to the Environmental Education Foundation and a member of the US EPA Advisory Committee involved with the development and implementation of new National IAQ Standards.

Randall Peterson, R.S. Director of Healthy Building Development Randy Peterson is a Healthy Building Consultant and Coach with over thirty years of experience in environmental health and safety. Mr. Peterson literally “wrote the book” on Healthy Cruise Ship Building and Operation for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
He has been a world leader and pioneer in developing healthy building construction, operations and maintenance programs for both cruise ships and commercial developments worth over 5 billion dollars in just the last 15 years.

Mr. Carlson is a Healthy Building Consultant and Coach with more than 20 years experience in business and project management, industrial hygiene and environmental consulting, indoor air quality (IAQ), asbestos, safety and health compliance/programs and real estate development.
With his extensive experience and common sense approach to addressing indoor environmental issues, Mr. Carlson is a valued HBIA Executive, trainer and coaching consultant focused on Healthy Building Management for commercial properties and national accounts.

J.P. Lewis is a Healthy Building Coach and Director of Training. Mr. Lewis provides extensive research and content development for HBIA's online and in-person training, certification and educational programs.
